Basic Bookkeeping

Basic bookkeeping is required by every company and can be considered the day to day accountancy requirement of a company. Each financial transaction is documented, usually in the form of an invoice or receipt and the bookkeeping roll compiles all transaction into a single account system. • Our most common practice is a pick up arrangement to take receipt of all invoicing and receipts paperwork periodically (Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly) by hand
• We can manage a digital drop box service enabling Clients to scan documents and drop into an online shared server.
• If required we spend a period of time in the Clients office and administer bookkeeping on site.
We administer our bookkeeping services digitally using Sage accountancy software.

Statutory Accounts

Every business is required to produce annual statutory accounts and these are subject to the type of business although most commonly are in the form of a Profit and Loss Statement and a Balance Sheet. These accounting statements are generated from the bookkeeping records and are sometimes known as end of year accounts.
For a limited company these statements are submitted to HMRC and Companies House.
For a sole trader the Profit and Loss Statement provides information for their Self-Assessment tax return to HMRC.
